You post pictures, dinner specials, links to your site, and more with your twitter account to spread the message about what you have going on. Your message reaches your followers and the followers of everyone that Re-tweets your messages. So clearly being able to get re-tweets expands your reach exponentially.
How do you do that?
Make it easy. Write them so that they can be retweeted with no editing. That means forget the 140 character limit, your’s is less. To be exact: it is a minimum of 4+the length of your twitter handle less. So take mine: Spirocks that is 8 characters plus 4 for a total of 12. Here is how the 12 are made up: RT @Spirocks
So I know my updates should be no larger that 128 characters to maximize the sharing of my messages. That is without any added comments by the retweeter…. so go ahead figure out your number and start leaving room for retweets today. Its a practice we use in all our efforts at GuestFeed and one you should too, what’s 12 characters anyway?
